Our HURRICANE is also in Battle of Britain colours, a Mk 11C, with the lettering SS-C in honour of Sir Sidney Camm, the aircraft's chief designer. Over 14,000 Hurricanes were built in Britain and Canada. Though Spitfires get all the attention, Hurricanes shot down more Luftwaffe aircraft in the Battle of Britain than all other defences combined. However, we do a World War II LANCASTER in Dambuster colours. This makes an historically accurate World War II Memorial set with the Spitfire and Hurricane.
